Before I dove right into the assignment, decided to review the first two at the top of the list:
Penny Juice
Upon clicking on the link to Penny Juice, visitors are greeted with a banner stating the legitimacy and motto of the juices with the order now link below it. This at the top of the main page throws a visitor off with the hierarchy of information. Alternatively an About Me introduction with a warm and genuine feel would rather be more appreciated assuming that first time visitors know about the product before ordering. As you scroll down there is a bit of repetition with inquiry information and links. So much is happening already just from scrolling down that a visitor may not even know where to begin reading or clicking. A drop down menu would be helpful for a more organized alignment of information and links that will be convenient to inquiring minds for easy click to information transition.
Jamilin
The first three wrongs that stood out to me immediately after clicking is the contrast, concept and depth of content on the main page. There is a close proximity of a lot information on the main page that a visitor may be confused as to what kind of business or company this is. Less could easily be more with the important information first along with neat Introduction. So much is going on in the main page that pictures blend in with the array of information listed for visitors to see. The concept of the website does not reflect the ¨feng shui" aesthetic and work she is listing. A more cohesive and simple look with less pictures of herself and maybe with peaceful/cool colors would help visitors be more intuitive to scroll and click find information about her business.
Both of these websites do not give a professional aesthetic feel due to its lack of organization, poor contrast, complicated easy click to information transitions and depth of content on the main page. Website should be firstly inviting before a visitor commits to scrolling and clicking to inquire for more information.
The following are websites I believe have done a great job with its website design:
Right away you can see the concept of both of these websites on the main page. With easy to click to information navigation, great contrast of colors, exciting and artful repetition of images and videos, simple alignment of information and overall clear message of the brand these two websites executed its goals both perfectly and professionally. Apple uses the benefits of entertainment, music and tech culture to draw its visitors in which I had an instant reaction to because my spark of curiosity of information listed on the main page. Toyota showcasing its newest cars, with good contrast with using one color for different makes shows a cohesive look and modern aesthetic.
A creative eye is always helpful for websites design and aesthetic that a company wants to showcase. It should flow and relate naturally to a company's motto or lifestyle whichever it may be. As a florist having a concept for an arrangement is extremely important to building a strong center piece as having a strong design plan and a keen eye for aesthetic that will give a company's website successful reactions.
